Motorcycles are dangerous in the hands of a drunk!

Motorcycles are lethal especially after drinking. I sat and drank with my friends last night and Scheffeil, a German friend, had some police tape that said "Danger/Peligroso. I got the stupid idea to go into town and post some tape around as a joke. Well with no helmet and traveling way too fast I hit a rut in the road and lost control. I went down like a rock and my bike went over a cliff. Luckily a tree stopped it from falling about 100 feet to a most certain death of the bike below. I was luckily, albeit stupid. I landed on my face and am extremely sore this morning. As I lay in the mountain road at 1 am I realized no one was coming to help me. Every time I tried to get the bike up it slid a little more. So I decided to hike back to the village in pain. I knocked on Jorge's window. "Wake up! I crashed my bike and I need your help!". "It's 1am dude WTF?" He replied. I told him it was important. So we jumped in his Land Cruiser and headed back to the scene. I took him 3 tries to get my bike back over the edge with a tow rope. There is a huge dent in the rim and a dent where my balls hit the gass tank. Ouch! But we got it up. I rode the crippled machine back to the village with Jorge behind me in the truck.

Today I reflect what an idiot I was. And Conrad conveyed to me how it was a real let down to my friends and family to do something so selfish and stupid. For that I am sorry. I am extremely lucky it did not turn out worse. I really should be hurt more than I am if not dead. But I have been spared this time. And I truly hope I don't do something that stupid again.

So I got a bike for sale cheap!

Did I mention I could fly?

Of all the things I've done this has to be the best. I am actually able to get in a kite with a lawn mower motor and take to the skies. This has got to be my greatest achievement. To fly like men have only dreamed... makes me a part of a bunch of pioneers who take risks. As time passes what I do will seem insane but it is so natural. I feel every breeze and lean like a little kid to steer. Eventually there will be no free form of flight like this available to men. It will be considered dangerous and outlawed... but for me right now... it is my driving force! Flying and art. That is why I was born. So far as I can tell. May you all experience what IT is! Because it passes and sometimes you forget about it. But when you remember... IT IS BIG! Keep on pushing my fellow men. Cuz, I'm getting tired of pushing. I know I always will... but damn it takes a lot out of a man. What I would give for a hot shower and a sofa? Yum! Sofa!

I leave tomorrow for playa Buena Vista. It is such a long ride and after the cops on the way here. I am not really looking forward to it.

Bocas was great!

I went on motorcycle ride with a loveley young woman from Quebec named Julie. It was really fun. I crossed a crazy bridge into with my riding partner Ryan. And I think I am going to try this Flying Boat thing in Bocas Del Toro, Panama.

This is where I am currently staying. I have become known as hammok dude.
I love the fact that I can lay in a hammok in a night club. Very nice way to watch the ladies. This Hostel is only accessible by a boat ride that costs 1 dollar each way.

Bocas Del Toro, Panama

I arrived here this morning. I was lucky enough to find a riding partner in Puerto Viejo. We had quite an adventure crossing the bridge into Panama. My partner´s bike is a giant 1100 BMW. Half way across the bridge traffic started coming from the other direction. He was unable to turn his big bike around. It caused quite a traffic jam. Eventually the locals helped him get it turned and we were allowed by the Police to take a new bridge under construction.

I miss Sonia already. She really got under my skin. She is moving back to the Canary Islands. So0 it is unlikely I will see much of her again. But I really do care about her and think she is quite unique and special. Although her ADD would drive most people batty. It has a calming effect on me. Makes me seem like I am totally chill.
